Honour to God

Honour to God

Any trial a believer faces can ultimately bring glory to God because God can bring good out of any bad situation. When trouble comes, do you grumble, complain, and blame God, or do you see your problems as opportunities to honor him?

“When he heard this, Jesus said, “This sickness will not end in death. No, it is for God’s glory so that God’s Son may be glorified through it.””

‭‭John‬ ‭11‬:‭4‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Reflections

I think what the devotional said is true, that *ultimately* the trials will bring glory to God. There may be times where the good from the situation is super apparent but there may also be times where the good is not apparent at all!

People will likely tell or ask you, what good is there when my partner passed away? What good is there when my kid passed away? What good is there when my girlfriend got raped and murdered? What good is there when I grew up in a abusive family where I experienced no love at all? The list of questions have no end… and I believe we can all understand why.

I guess those pain or grief is not something anyone can understand, unless you been through it yourself. And the most “funny” (not so funny but..) thing I saw is this. God can use your pain to bring encouragement to another fellow brother or sister who suffers similar pain. And through the fellowship and sharing, we ourselves heal as well. The bible verse puts it right on point. “who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.” 2 Corinthians 1:4.
