Sheep in the sheep pen
Just as a shepherd protects his sheep, Jesus protects his people from eternal harm. While believers can expect to suffer on earth, Satan cannot harm their souls or take away their eternal life with God. There are many reasons to be afraid here on earth because this is the devil's domain. But if you choose to follow Jesus, he will give you everlasting safety.
“I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. John 10:28-29 NIV

Reflections
Yes, we belonged to the Lord and are His. Being our shepherd He will fiercely guard us against all harm. Indeed there is no need for us to worry because of this knowing.
I guess some may still be skeptical on how He is able to guard all of us. But let’s also not forget that Him being God has control over everything, sees everything and knows all things. He is closer to us than we even think He is. Just remember not to put Him into a box and set limits on what God can do. Our understanding is not up to His level and there will be a lot of things we cannot understand even. So it’s so much easier to just trust our faithful and trustworthy shepherd to just guide our every steps, knowing that we will be all be well provided for. We will lack nothing.
Remembering Psalm 23.
“The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”Psalms 23:1-6 NIV
The Lord promised and He will deliver. All His children will have no lack. He will point us to the right pastures to ensure we have good learning environment. He will help guide us with scriptures so we will be drinking the kind of water so we will never thirst. Our very soul will be refreshed day after day, as we continue to feed on His word. The Holy Spirit will prompt us and guide us to be more Christ-like as we learn His ways. So even when troubles or trials come, we will have no fear for our anchor is in the Lord. He has promised that He will walk with us, protect us and even go before us to make things straight for us. We are also reminded to be discerning and hear His voice, so we know when we need to stop before we fall over and when we really need to just listen and not try things our way. Having the Lord with us is a comforting presence, for we know then it cannot go wrong. His blessings never end and can come even in the most unexpected ways! All thanks and praise to our faithful God, His love endures forever. Amen!
