Free from Sin

This is the Good News of the gospel: that forgiveness of sins and freedom from guilt are available through faith in Christ to all people-including you. Have you received this forgiveness? Are you refreshed by it each day?

““Therefore, my friends, I want you to know that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you. Through him everyone who believes is set free from every sin, a justification you were not able to obtain under the law of Moses.”

Acts‬ ‭13‬:‭38‬-‭39‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Reflections

Because Jesus had came and die for us for the atonement of our sins. Because He had sacrificed Himself with the shedding of His blood to redeem us all which nothing in the past was able to do. They had to do it repeatedly year after year and find the lamb that was without blemish or defects or handicapped. It has to be the perfect sacrifice. But no amount of “perfect” sacrifices were enough to redeem everyone until Jesus came and died for us, being our ultimate perfect sacrifice, that no more were sacrifices required after Him. He was enough, and perfect and washed us all white. The burden was on Him and removed from us. But He had to die so that this law of sacrifice can be abolished forever. ~ refer to Hebrews 10:10-18 for the full passage

Because of this thing that He did for all of us, He rewrote history and no more were sacrifices deem necessary for the forgiveness of sins. We have already been redeemed and forgiven. Indeed He is an awesome God who had come as human, suffered and redeemed us as human. The perfect innocent lamb that was slain has cleansed us from the blood on our hands. ““Come now, let us settle the matter,” says the Lord. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.”

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭1‬:‭18‬ ‭NIV‬‬

No human effort is involved in this one. Only the divine appointment that makes this possible, that we are all forgiven people. Be wary though and do not think we can go on sinning forever. Amen ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป
