Ripple Effect

Ripple Effect

The word of God spread like ripples on a pond where, from a single center, each wave touches the next, spreading wider and farther. The gospel still spreads this way today. You don't have to change the world single-handedly-it is enough just to be part of the wave, touching those around you, who in turn will touch others until all have felt the movement. Don't ever feel that your part is insignificant or unimportant.

“So the word of God spread. The number of disciples in Jerusalem increased rapidly, and a large number of priests became obedient to the faith.”

‭‭Acts‬ ‭6‬:‭7‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Reflections

Indeed it is enough just to be part of the wave. Every single ripple counts because that is how each ripple touches another and creates a huge wave in the end.

Similarly in our lives, we may see whatever small things we do have little significance in God’s kingdom. But sometimes it is the small things that matter most. I was told by a few of my friends that they look forward to my posting every morning. It helps and speaks to them and one said it helps to shift his gaze away from the world, which is too busy and all. I thank God for the encouragement because it can feel mundane and I’m not even sure if people do read. A little affirmation does go a long way..

May I also encourage you not to think too little of what you have done for God. He sees each step, whether big or small from your heart that you truly wish the best for others, that you do it not because of anything else but just out of the love of God and you ain’t afraid to tell people that you are God’s child. Do not be ashamed of this.

Just like a guy who advises me to quit smoking and it is bad for me and told me that Jesus loves me. He is so random, just standing outside the MRT Station and came to me as I was about to light my cigarette. I told him it’s ok, I know and said thank you to him to brush him off. However that seed was forever planted in my heart without him perhaps even knowing it. Grateful for the love of God.
