Transcendence

Today's devotional: taken from YouVersion, Life Application Study Bible Devotion
God is known in his creation, and he is close to every one of us. But he is not trapped in his creation-he is transcendent. God is the Creator, not the creation. This means that God is sovereign and in control, while at the same time he is close and personal. Let the Creator of the universe rule your life.
“God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us. ‘For in him we live and move and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’”
Acts 17:27-28 NIV

Reflections
People go to places, temples even to seek for God, to ask for things, to seek peace, to find wealth, etc. but little do they know that our God is the God who walks with us, every single minute of the day. One may question how that is possible? But one has also forgotten our God is the Creator of heaven and earth, who is above all things and knows all things. How good is that?
Of course having said that, I’m not implying there’s no need to go church every week. The church is where our community is, the place for us to fellowship with one another, encourage one another, pray for one another and even intercede for one another, the church, the nation and even worldwide as we come together for corporate prayers.
So how do we seek God? Do we have the knowledge that He is with us? Do we feel like He doesn’t know what is happening? Do we question why He allows suffering or pain on us or our loved ones? And no matter what happens, are we letting Him rule in our lives? In many a times, we are prone to deal with things using our own strength, our own knowledge, our own means of handling but have totally forgetting that we have a God we sees and knows all things and feels exactly how we are feeling even.
Friends, may I encourage you, whether you believe or not, to just look to Jesus and pray to Him. Seek Him and He will answer if you seek Him with all your heart. God bless.
