Escape route from sin
Before faith in Christ delivered us, we were imprisoned by sin, beaten down by past mistakes, and choked by desires that we knew were wrong. God knew we were sin's prisoners, but he provided a way of escape-faith in Jesus Christ Without Christ, everyone is held in sin's grasp, and only those who place their faith in Christ ever get out of it. Look to Christ-he is reaching out to set you free.
“Is the law, therefore, opposed to the promises of God? Absolutely not! For if a law had been given that could impart life, then righteousness would certainly have come by the law. But Scripture has locked up everything under the control of sin, so that what was promised, being given through faith in Jesus Christ, might be given to those who believe.”Galatians 3:21-22 NIV

Reflections
If you were to ask me to pinpoint exactly when my turning point was after I come to Christ, I can’t tell you. Not because I cannot but because I don’t know how it was done. All I know is that I lived in a place of sin. I may have tried to be the goody-two-shoes but deep down I know I am not all that good or even holy to speak. People who knew me from the past would probably know what evil things I did before. Did I regret? Yes. Would ai change anything? I’m not sure because who I am today is also because of who I was in the past.
I’m thankful for the Lord’s outstretched hand to us all. That when we were all sinners, He send His son to die for us, redeeming us by His blood. How unworthy we are to be saved but yet He loved us beyond all that. How great is the Father’s love for us. Through Him, I experienced true freedom. Freedom from all the past hurts or sins or things that we had done. Freedom from bondage or generational curses. It was a sense of ultimate freedom that I had never experienced before! It was like He silenced all other nonsense in my head, He quieten my heart and my head kind of felt like it got refreshed!!
Indeed, come to the Lord all who are weary and burdened and He will give you rest. A rest that is free from sins, bondage and hurts but instead one that fills you with His Shalom peace and love.
