He will carry it to completion
Do you sometimes feel as though you aren't making progress in your spiritual life? When God starts a project, he completes it! As with the Philippians, God will help you grow in grace until he has completed his work in your life. When you are discouraged, remember that God won't give up on you. He promises to finish the work he has begun. When you feel incomplete, unfinished, or distressed by your shortcomings, remember God's promise and provision. Don't let your present condition rob you of the joy of knowing Christ or keep you from growing closer to him.
“being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”Philippians 1:6 NIV

Reflections
Probably the problem lies with us, that we often look to ourselves, our own strengths to finish anything, including God’s works. We take it upon ourselves that we have to do this or that not realising that His ultimate aim is for us to rely on Him.
If we happen to be feeling inadequate, small, in whatever work that we are doing, perhaps we are doing it right. For it is not us that is doing the work but Him. So all the more we need to go to our Father to seek rest. ““Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.””
Matthew 11:28-30 NIV
He wants us to learn reliance on Him, not on ourselves or any human beings. He wants us to learn that the strength and ability to do the things He has asked us to do all comes from Him and no one else. Therefore success of such works also belongs to Him and not us. So continue to stay close to Him and not let the world define us. He loves us all the same, regardless of what we can do. It is not tied to any of our merits but His instead. His grace and His love is enough.
