Keep praying

 27 Oct 25 (Day 300)

Keep praying

How can anyone pray on all occasions? One way is to make quick, brief prayers your habitual response to every situation you meet throughout the day. Another way is to order your life around God's desires and teachings so that your very life becomes a prayer. You don't have to isolate yourself from other people and from daily work in order to pray constantly. You can make prayer your life and your life a prayer while living in a world that needs God's powerful influence. Praying for "all believers everywhere" means praying for all believers in Christ; so pray for the Christians you know and for the church around the world.

“And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.”Ephesians‬ ‭6‬:‭18‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Reflections

What I learnt along the way is that we can try to incorporate small prayers throughout the day. For example, when we wake up, we give thanks to the Lord for waking us up, giving us a new day, breaths that fill our lungs, for our good health and for his protection over us and our family as we rest during the night.

Throughout the day, as we are about to start work, we give thanks to the Lord for bringing us safely to work and committing our day into His hands, that He guide our every path, decision and may we be sensitive to His word and obeys them. When faced with challenges, don’t be too quick to complain but commit that to the Lord and ask Him for guidance and wisdom. Give thanks for the lunch and dinner that we eat everyday for food that nourish our body and strengthens our immunity. When we finished work, thank Him for sustaining us and commit our journey home in His hands. Give thanks to Him for keeping us safe and away from any evil pestilences or even infectious diseases. Before we sleep, give thanks to the Lord for all the blessings that we had experienced and pray for a good and peaceful night’s rest. Pray too, for anything else, anyone or matters that happen to pop up on our minds as and when and don’t forget to pray when you told someone you will.

Prayers will somehow need to be intentional but it can become habitual when we are so used to it. So may the Lord grant us intentional hearts to pray unceasingly.
