Nursing our anger

The Bible doesn't tell us that we shouldn't feel angry, but it points out that it is important to handle our anger properly. If vented thoughtlessly, anger can hurt others and destroy relationships. If bottled up inside, it can cause us to become bitter and destroy us from within. Paul tells us to deal with our anger immediately in a way that builds relationships rather than destroys them. If we nurse our anger, we will give Satan an opportunity to divide us. Are you angry with someone right now? What can you do to resolve your differences? Don't let the day end before you begin to work on mending your relationship.

Reflections

We need to take our thoughts captive, be mindful and realise whatever that is going on. While we can and allowed to get angry, we should not let anger get the better of us. We also should not nurse our anger, for it leads to bitterness, resentment and all the negative feelings. It plants a dead tree in our head and will eventually take over our positive thoughts.


A Christian mind is one that is filled with good thoughts. The focus is on the Lord. It is of all things beautiful.. “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.”Philippians‬ ‭4‬:‭8‬ ‭NIV‬‬


One should always exercise self-control. Not by our own means but by the guidance of the Holy Spirit. We may always try to achieve things by ourselves but we also realised that won’t work. Always go back to the Lord. Seek reconciliation and He will grant us peace. He will guide, hold our hands and always be there for us. He will never leave us nor forsake us. Therefore we ought to have faith and continue to trust in the Lord for He is good. His love endures forever. ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป
