The daily challenge to live for Christ
The Holy Spirit gives Christians great power to live for God. Some Christians want more than this. They want to live in a state of perpetual excitement. The tedium of everyday living leads them to conclude that something is wrong spiritually. Often the Holy Spirit's greatest work is teaching us to persist, to keep on doing what is right even when it no longer seems interesting or exciting. The Galatians quickly turned from Paul's Good News to the teachings of the newest teachers in town; what they needed was the Holy Spirit's gift of persistence. If the Christian life seems ordinary, you may need the Spirit to stir you up. Every day offers a challenge to live for Christ.
“So again I ask, does God give you his Spirit and work miracles among you by the works of the law, or by your believing what you heard?”
Galatians 3:5 NIV

Reflections
The Holy Spirit is given to us to help us discern on His truths. The Christian life is not one that is full of adventure, excitement, etc. In fact it can feel mundane like we do the things day in and day out, wondering what we have done for Christ. However, it is sometimes through something mundane that the Lord is also teaching us. Nothing really happens by chance and throughout our day we may be challenged over different things. Maybe it is so insignificant that we do not even realised it.
In the normalities of life, we build discipline and we thank God for routine for it is not disruptive and has a certain order. If you happen to live a life that is full of disruptions, it is a big challenge trying to navigate and stay close to God. It takes super intentional efforts to tell yourself that regardless what happens, you will still continue to pray, give thanks and give God His glory. Being a Christian is learning to go when He wants us to go and learning to sit when He wants us to be still. The choice does not belong to us but to Him. We abide.
I know of some who gets drawn to all the latest speaker in town, goes to every healing rally, all in the name of Christ. However, they ask things like, how do I hear from God? My friends, do you also know of friends like this? Encourage them to continue to seek God and ask God to grant them wisdom and knowledge to understand His word. The more time we spend with Him, the more we can understand His will. Nothing wrong hearing the latest speaker and going to healing rallies for sure but exercise discernment and don’t let it get to you like how you may be chasing people and not God.
