The time is now
God offers salvation to all people. Many people put off a decision for Christ, thinking that there will be a better time-but they could easily miss their opportunity altogether. There is no time like the present to receive God's forgiveness. Don't let anything hold you back from coming to Christ.
“For he says, “In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.” I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation.”2 Corinthians 6:2 NIV

Reflections
I see our Lord and Abba Father being super gracious to all. Out of His love for us all He sent His one and only son Jesus Christ to die for our sins, redeeming us for good, being the sacrificial lamb and the ultimate sacrifice that atonement no longer is necessary because He is the ultimate sacrifice. Him being perfect and without blemish. He being in the world and is not tainted and His heart, which is aligned with the Father has saved us all.
I too was at a time where I do not reject Him but yet I felt no push to accept Him either. My thinking back then had been all gods are the same. They all teach people to do good. So ultimately if I do good, I will be good, right? Yeah, maybe.. but not quite so after you get to know Jesus a bit more.
After having prayed to different gods in the whole of my life before coming to Christ, Jesus is the only God that speaks directly to me. You can ask every Christian how they come to Christ and all their stories would be unique and different. However, the biggest difference is that for the other gods, you need to present offerings to them in return for blessings, for example. In other words, they are like our ATM in a sense because we only go to ATM when we need to withdraw money. So we go to temples only when we needed help.
Jesus on the other hand, didn’t need anything from us. This grace is granted freely to us all, who has opened our hearts to Him and accepted Him as Lord. One would most likely think how that is possible and that there must be some hidden ‘cost’. Like where can you find such a good deal?!
Truth be told, the cost to follow Jesus is a great one. He changed my whole life and turned it around. Without Christ in my life, my family will not be one that is in harmony and peace. Quarrels and negative talk filled our atmosphere. Darkness overwhelms me. I smoked and I partied away and couldn’t care less. Life was meaningless. I was always worried, always burnt out. Even though people saw me like someone who seemed really cool, deep down in my heart was a great turmoil no one understands. So yes, the cost is a great one to pay. So much so my life got turned upside down. Seriously don’t take my word for it. You can experience it for yourself and see if He is real. It is only between you and Him.
