Bring honour to Him
Doing everything "as a representative of the Lord Jesus" means bringing honor to Christ in every aspect and activity of daily living. As a Christian, you represent Christ at all times-wherever you go and whatever you say. What impression do people have of Christ when they see or talk with you? What changes would you make in your life in order to honor Christ?
“And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”
Colossians 3:17 NIV

Reflections
If I were to be honest, I don’t think every aspect of what I do, say or even think, brings honour to Him. There are still times when I fall, which I sincerely hope will be reduced to none. There are also times when I fall short, which I hope that the Lord will grant me mercy and grace.
Perhaps, how we see others is also a manner in how we see ourselves. How we judge others is also how we will be judged. Like it takes one to know the other. Others may not be fully aware as well but can we be gracious and share with people what is wrong instead of just saying they are wrong?
I found out there are people around me who falls into these categories
- they think it’s none of their business to correct or share with someone else their wrongs, even though they may know each other more than acquaintances.
- they think those people are just like that. So they won’t change
- these are the people they never got along, so why bother
There are other types of people as well and I am no saint. However, I think we should not be carrying thoughts of negativity of other people if we have the chance to tell or share with them personally, with gentleness and out of loving kindness. Of course if they refused to change that is not up to us but we had done what we ought to do, I feel.
To me, that helps me to come out of my own comfort zone and also help to try lift up someone else. I think ultimately we are here to help one another and to share Christ’s love with others too, no? But the times even if after we tried and yet was not successful, remember not to be too hard on ourselves. We are NOT the saviour.
