What do we focus on
What we put into our minds determines what comes out in our words and actions. Paul tells us to program our minds with thoughts that are true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent, and praiseworthy. Do you have problems with impure thoughts and daydreams? Examine what you are putting into your mind through television, books, conversations, movies, and magazines. Replace harmful input with wholesome material. Above all, read God's Word and pray. Ask God to help you focus your mind on what is good and pure. It takes practice, but it can be done.
“Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.”Philippians 4:8 NIV

Reflections
Countless thoughts run through our mind on a daily basis. Whatever we see, hear, experience, etc., there is a thought related to it. We see something we think of something. We watch something and we started thinking. One thing leads to another and not careful, we may just end up spending the whole day idling away on pointless scrolling, games or drama even.
We are what we eat. Similarly we are also what we think, as all those thoughts can transform into other things and even emotions. I tried something just 2 days ago. I tried playing games and quickly realised I was easily irritated. Not a good sign. So I told myself I cannot be doing this and so proceed to delete those games off my mobile.
So what we do and think does affect us and the people around us. If we find ourselves always tired, restless, etc., perhaps it is good to try reflect what kind of thoughts flow through our minds and what did we do, that leads to all these.
I know sometimes people play mindless games to try to fall asleep but that is in fact counterproductive. Any stimulation to our brain-things that make us think at least an hour before sleep will result in restless night. Television programs and mobile phones are best avoided too. Try read a book or listen to worship music before you rest. Perhaps it can help with rest too.
