He will return

"In the last days'' scoffers will say that Jesus is never coming back, but Peter refutes their argument by explaining God's mastery over time. The "last days'' is the time between Christ's first and second comings; thus, we-like Peter-live in the last days. We must do the work to which God has called us and believe that he will return as he promised.


“Above all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. They will say, “Where is this ‘coming’ he promised? Ever since our ancestors died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation.””2 Peter‬ ‭3‬:‭3‬-‭4‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Reflections

Do you believe in Christ’s second coming? Do you know that He will come at an hour nobody will know?


There are many people out there who has been Jesus is coming back at x date and the date came and passed. I remember quite recently, someone said that He is coming today. I was like nope. Only the Father knows when it will happen. All these so called prophets are just false prophets and there will be many out there who tries to predict His second coming.


Are you prepared for His coming my friends? If He really appears to you today, will you be telling him you are not ready? Will you panic? Or will you say, at-last, this long awaited moment has come! I’m ready to go?!


Indeed there will be many scoffers. Atheists who say there is no God. People who refuse to believe our Lord is a living God. However, both you and I knows that He is as real as He can get, because each and everyone of us experience His presence and His love so personally and miraculously that it is impossible in human strength that we know it has to be Him. This is the time we ought to bear good witness to Him. This is the time we ought to tell the world He is real and He is the only true God, both now and forever. Amen 🙏🏻

If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me (Revelation 3:20). How are you responding to Jesus’ hospitality as an honored guest? The triclinium is used for the Passover meal. It consists of three couches. Guests would recline with their left hand supporting their head while feeding themselves with their right hand. Traditionally the two most honored guests at the feast would recline on the right and left hand of the host. John, who reclines on the Lord’s breast, sits at Jesus’ right (John 13:23) and Judas on His left. He said to Philip, “Where shall we buy bread, that these may eat?” (John 6:5).

Year One Readings: 2 Kings 15 2 Kings 16 2 Kings 17 John 6:1-21 But this He said to test him, for He Himself knew what He would do (John 6:6).  He said to Philip, “Where shall we buy bread, that these may eat?” (John 6:5). Jesus doesn’t ask the above question to Philip because He needs an answer; our Lord knows all things. The Good Shepherd’s question has a twofold effect: It shows the inability of men to meet the needs of mankind and displays the impossibility of feeding the vast multitude. Philip should have turned to Jesus and said, “For with God nothing will be impossible” (Luke 1:37). This is the first miracle the disciples participate in with the Lord. Amazingly, Jesus provides “as much [bread and fish] as they wanted” (John 6:11). The verb “they wanted” occurs in the imperfect tense, showing continual action in past time.
