Our atoning sacrifice

Our atoning sacrifice

Sometimes it is difficult to forgive those who wrong us. Imagine how hard it would be to forgive everyone, no matter what they had done! This is what God has done in Jesus. No one, no matter what he or she has done, is beyond forgiveness. All a person has to do is turn from his or her sin, receive Christ's forgiveness, and commit his or her life to him.

“He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.”1 John‬ ‭2‬:‭2‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Reflections

Jesus died for us and for our sins. He became our atoning sacrifice once and for all so that no more sacrifices need to be made. The only criteria is that we turn our eyes and hearts to Jesus, accept that He died for our sins, recognise that we are sinners, come to Him to confess our sins and seek His forgiveness and commit our lives to Jesus.

As we come to the last day of the year, it is also a time where we reflect on what happened in the whole of 2025 and look forward to 2026. As we continue to work on our walk of faith, I pray that the Lord helps us to open our hearts to corrections, rebukes, pruning, teaching and blessings even. Praying that the Lord bring to our minds the things that He wants us to change, the things or ministries that He wants us to continue and the things or sins that He wants us to come to Him in confession. Help us Lord, to find confidence in You and not men and to keep trusting in You for the coming year.

We want to also thank You Lord, for the guidance and the holding of our hands throughout 2025. Help us to end the year well and with singing and praises. In Jesus’s most precious name we pray. Amen ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป
